Today is June 09th 2026 and that makes it patch day for Riot Game’s 2XKO fighting game. Here’s a snapshot of what’s coming in today’s patch:

Senna, The Redeemer, & Thresh, The Chain Warden, are arriving today on June 09th.
As mentioned previously, we have Senna joining today:
As also mentioned previously, we have Thresh joining today:
We knew of those two coming. We also know that every patch there will be nerfs and buffs. THe most important part of this patch is a new mode in the League of Legends fighting game called The Climb. This is something players have been clamoring for since launch and Riot is finally delivering.
The climb is 2XKO’s new PVE only mode, that you can enjoy single player or, as I’m seeing more and more, with your duo. Similar to Mortal Kombat’s Invasion mode, which let players unlock loot and powerups to your characters as you progressed, The Climb allows you to get augments to power up your team every win. Your Health, Break, and Super meters do carry over so it’s like a survival mode with optional campfires you can choose to rest at to restore health.
Riot has set up missions for The Climb which will allow players to unlock Chroma colors, avatar items, and stickers. Most importantly, The Climb rewards players with Battle Pass experience, so if you’re looking for a way to grind out the battle pass without throwing yourself against ranked, this is the way to do it.

As a reminder, this is a free to play game. Riot giving us this mode without an attached cost associated which is suspiciously good, but I won’t look a gift horse in the mouth, I’ll just login and see for myself.
You can see Riot’s Mode Reveal video here if you’re curious but can’t log in right now:
