You read that right! A new season of FATAL FURY: City of Wolves has been announced with a new edition and a new pack of hungry wolves looking for revenge!
Like previous seasons, SNK is looking to end the year off with 6 new fighters. Three of which are returning fan favorites, two unannounced mystery characters, and one making their official debut into the video game series.
Rick Strowd
Starting on July 23rd you will be able to get your hands on the “White Wolf” himself Rick Strowd, who debuted in Real bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers (1998) and last appeared in handheld titles like Fatal Fury: First Contact and SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash on the Neo Geo Pocket Color. The beloved Native American boxer returns with the same hard hitting punches of the past; while also showing off a new “Aggressor Style” stance that allows him to follow you up with overheads, lows, catch counters, and more! Rick has evolved from being a rushdown machine into a more technical fighter, mixing you up with devastating power and high-level mind games forcing your opponents with sharp reads and split-second decisions.

Duck King
In August the one and only Duck King returns as a playable fighter. He made a cameo appearance as part of Salvatore Ganacci’s Arcade story, but now he’s ready to party like no tomorrow! He was last seen in The King of Fighter XI (2005) as a playable character. If you thought Ganacci’s play style was wild, then get ready for an unorthodox acrobatic fighter who loves to break your ankles with every move he makes.
Kim Kaphwan
In September Kim Kaphwan makes his long awaited return to Fatal Fury! Joining his sons Kim Dong Hwan and Kim Jae Hoon, Kim Kaphwan will show them why he’s called “The Crown Jewel of Taekwondo“. Kim Kaphwan was recently seen in KoF 15 as a DLC fighter, but his last appearance in a Fatal Fury title was in Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 (1998).
Mystery Release 1
We don’t know who the DLC character for October is going to be, but fans speculate it could be another guest character like Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star.

Laocorn
Now November marks the series debut of Laocorn who is a deep cut character from SNK’s past! If you don’t know who he is, that’s okay! He was originally an anime only character serving as the main antagonist in the Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture. Him and his sister Sulia are descendants of Gaudeamus a powerful warrior and former king of Rhode Island? ( Crazy right? ) Laocorn’s lore is insane and does a lot of crazy stuff before being defeated by Terry Bogard. Now he makes his in game debut as the boss character for season 3, looking to get his revenge on Terry Bogard.
Mystery Release 2
Finally December leaves us with another mystery character, we don’t know who it could be but fans are hoping its a returning character. Who knows maybe SNK could surprise us with another deep cut character! We will just have to wait and see!
