July 10th marks the 29th anniversary of the original Japanese release date of FromSoftโs PlayStation 1 title and the beginning of their long running Armored Core series. The brainchild of producer Yasuyoshi Karasawa (of whom the famed โWG-1-KARASAWAโ is named after) would go on to spawn 15 sequels and four mobile flip-phone games. Armored Core released July 10th, 1997, in Japan stands the test of time as one of the most immersive and mechanically beautiful games made for the original PlayStation console.

What better way to celebrate the birthday of this incredible series than by challenging yourself and being rewarded for it? For the month of July I am holding a speedrunning bounty for the original trilogy of Armored Core games that were released on the PS1.
Those being Armored Core, Armored Core: Project Phantasma, and Armored Core: Master of Arena. This event, which will be running until July 31st, has a payout of $300 USD for each player holding the fastest submission (or submissions) in these three games. Thatโs a maximum payout of $900 if you can snag the top time.
You donโt have to set a new world record,
you just have to be faster than the other runners who submit times July 1st and July 31st.
You can read about the rules and keep up with the latest submissions on speedrun.com. Each gameโs page even has a handy tutorial to get you up to speed with how to run each game and its respective category. I recommend starting with Project Phantasma as it is the shortest of the three and offers the most unique experience by allowing players to use wall and floor clipping.

I am a big fan of this series, and now I want to PAY YOU to play MY favorite games. Good luck to all the runners out there. If you stop by my stream from July 13th to the 31st, I will also be giving away a free Armored Core themed Pink Fuzzy Bunny viewer badge, designed by our very own TheAngoraBunnie herself.
