DCKO is 2v2 tag team fighting game being developed and published by Drop Fake Inc.

If you’re like me and woke up saying “Wait a minute this ain’t Injustice” then you’ll be correct, because DC has decided to announce a brand new F2P fighter in the tag team genre. Only difference is that this fighter is exclusively coming to mobile devices.

GAMEPLAY

If you’ve played the Injustice mobile game or Marvel Contest of Champions then you’ll be no stranger to DCKO. Drop Fake promises to give you a simple and easy to learn play style but also complex enough to throw your opponent off, for example; by simply tapping your screen you will be able to chain quick jabs to pull off fast light combos, swiping your finger allows you to add in heavy attacks as well. Something that is different from those games is the ability to grab your opponent by simply swiping your finger up, but be wary they can also tech your grab if they sense it coming. Let’s not also forget about the super meter allowing you to finish off your combos with some awesome looking supers!

This is a tag fighter after all so remember it takes two to tango and call in your second DC Legend to assist you in battle. By calling in your duo you can extend your combos with fast legendary assists, combine your meter to do enhanced tag combos, or pull off some crazy tag supers to end the fight. Combine all those pieces together and turn your team into a puzzle to obsess over, with the chance to pick the right DC Legend and create the dream team-up you always wanted.

GAME MODES

Let’s break it down, DCKO is promising to give you a fun and real online PvP experience. Not AI. Not a cached team running on autopilot while the player is offline. A REAL opponent ready to read and react to every action you make on the battlefield. Something a bot can never replicate.

Now if you don’t care about PvP then don’t worry, DCKO is promising to give you a robust PvE experience. Experience the story mode where you and your team take on the most dangerous forces in the DC Universe: Ra’s al Ghul and the League of Assassins, Amazo’s robot army, the demon hordes of Trigon, and many more.

Level up your team and earn XP or collect in game currency by completing Seasonal Missions, Rifts, Arena, and many more modes being added later on. All your progress can then later be carried over to PvP, where you can customize your favorite DC Legend to your liking with DCKO robust customization options. Change up your Supers, add different Runes to buff up your Legend, change up your abilities, and unlock iconic skins from the DC Universe.

ROSTER & STAGES

Chose from a vast variety of Heroes and Villain from across the DC Universe

So far there is a confirmed total of 19 DC Legends to choose and customize, all with unique supers and abilities to use. Drop Fake is also promising to add a new Legend every month, giving you even more options to build the perfect team. Who are the 19 Legends you ask?

Let’s not forget about the stages! Fight across six iconic stages from the DC Universe confirmed for DCKO like Metropolis, Gotham City, The Watchtower, Themyscira, The Batcave, and The Lazarus Pit. There wasn’t much info on additional stages but If they’re going to be adding new Legends each month, then I hope they do the same with new stages!
