In Celebration of the new Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender movie, the Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game devs announced that Tagah will be coming to Avatar Legends. HE’S FINALLY BACK
That’s right after 26 years Cyclops has finally made his return to fighting games with MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls. This time around he has the power of the phoenix with him. He is the first of 4 DLC character to be added in season 1.
Phoenix Cyclops is the leader of the Phoenix Five, who made his first appearance in the Avengers vs. X-Men comic storyline. Outside of the reveal trailer, there is no word on his playstyle but expect him to still have his Optic blast. That’s not the only thing that was announced at the MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Soul panel, Arc System Works also premiered the opening movie for the game!
Directed by Daisuke Suzuki of Studio Sanzigen, the opening seeks to combine the spirit of classic fighting game openings with the charm and energy of beloved anime openings from the early 2000s. Just look at how incredible it looks and paired with iconic Japanese rock vocalists: Keiko Terada of SHOW-YA and mayu of NEMOPHILA, it just oozes PEAK CINEMA!!!
Finally Arc System Works revealed a brand new crossover skin with the main man himself, Wolverine. In partnership with Insomniac Games, Wolverine will be receiving his Battle Reborn Suit coming in September 1st for free. Vice versa Insomniac Wolverine will be getting his Tōkon suit. Including the Insomniac Spider-man Advanced Suit 2.0 that would make two crossover skins from Insomniac Games.

Arc System works isn’t done there because they also confirmed via their PlayStation Blog that more alternate costumes will be added to MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls in the future.
Historically, alternate costumes have been relatively limited in Arc System Works titles. With MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, however, we’ve placed a much greater emphasis on costume development as one of the ways players can enjoy their favorite characters in new ways. We have plans to continue adding a variety of costumes in the future, so please look forward to what’s ahead -PlayStation blog
